Summary

In this study  Zhang et al. show that the G9a/GLP complex of histone methylases stabilize imprinted DNA methylation in embryonic stem cells by recruitment of de novo DNA methyltransferase enzymes, which counteract TET dioxygenase-dependent demethylation pathways.
