The Public Engagement Team partnered with Midlothian Schools, and our Nepalese visitors from the Research Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology, for some early Science Week activities (science week fell on 10th-19th March this year).

Students from Gore Glen, Kings Park, Stobhill and St Andrew’s primary schools got hands-on looking at pondwater beasties and showed off their creative skills drawing and making their own plasticine microbes.

With researchers from the UK, Spain, Ghana, India and of course Nepal, the students enjoyed hearing about the similarities and differences of how research is conducted across the world.
