Eris Duro, a postdoctoral researcher in Adele Marston's laboratory, has been awarded a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity for the most promising newly qualified postdoctoral researchers to make an early start in developing their independent research careers, working in the best laboratories in the UK and overseas. Eris will use his fellowship to study chromosome segregation in meiosis employing an interdisciplinary approach, which will take him to carry out parts of his project in the laboratories of Juri Rappsilber (also at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology) and Sue Biggins (at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle).
