Ethics and integrity

Our research must be of the highest standard and conducted with transparency and integrity.

To fulfil our mission to discover the fundamental molecular mechanisms that determine cell function in health and disease, our research must be of the highest standard and conducted with transparency and integrity.

Research Integrity is the responsibility of everyone working at the centre. All staff are trained and made aware of these responsibilities as detailed in our Research Integrity and Ethics policy which covers four main areas;

  • ensuring that our research is ethical,
  • that it is conducted rigorously,
  • that data and research outputs are managed, published and disseminated as widely and openly as possible, and
  • that all staff are treated and treat each other equally, fairly and with respect.

We are constantly striving to improve research culture and promote a supportive and inclusive environment for all staff and students, where everyone is encouraged to raise and discuss issues.
