Committees, societies and groups bringing together those with shared interests in the Centre. WCB Social Events The Centre organises social events throughout the year for everyone in the Centre. Events include our monthly TGIF – usually on the first Friday night of the month - in the Swann social space. Each month this is hosted by a different lab in the Centre and provides an evening of drinks, food and good company for all! Other events such as the Summer BBQ and Christmas Party and biannual Centre retreat are organised by a committee of postgraduate students. Societies and groups Sustainability Group Image The Sustainability Group was set up by volunteers in April 2019 to bring together those with an interest in contributing towards a more socially responsible and sustainable Centre. Working more sustainably is not an easy task in the scientific world but it is possible and can be a unifying and fun experience!
