Tell us about your time at the School of Biological Sciences:

I chose the University of Edinburgh, after considering many variables such as global ranking, location, student life, but mainly, due to the synthetic biology achievements that came from the University and the faculty and areas of study available there.

I remember feeling really welcomed by my fellow students as well as most of the faculty, definitely enjoyed the networking sessions and events that happened during my Msc.

I’m really grateful I was able to secure a scholarship from the Mexican Science and Technology Council, otherwise I would never have been able to afford it.

Tell us about your Experiences since leaving the University

Since leaving the university I was able to Kick-start my own start-up, Scintia, and also obtain a part time Job as an iGEM Ambassador at the iGEM foundation.

After being a part of the University of Edinburgh, I made it my mission to make synthetic biology and biotech more accessible in Latin America.
