Wooclap

An electronic voting system that may be used during your studies.

What is Wooclap?

Wooclap is an online voting system we use to poll, interact and engage with students in lectures or tutorial sessions. You can respond via the web browser on your own device, whether it's a laptop or a mobile phone.

Our lecturers and tutors can customise their teaching using a combination of slides and various questions types with Wooclap. There are 15 question types, typically presented as multiple choice questions on the screen.

Anonymous results can then be displayed, usually in the form of bar charts or word clouds, showing the number of votes each answer received. This can be a fun and educational way for you to see if you really understand a topic, it also lets the lecturers or tutors know if people are understanding the class.

How to join an event in class

You do not need to create an account to join and participate in an event unless it is specified that your response should be logged. You can easily join an event by visiting the Wooclap home page using the web browser on your own device and entering the unique event code.
