Learn is a virtual learning environment (VLE): a web-based platform course teams use to publish course information, support your learning and that allows you to share resources and knowledge with others on your course.

Learn is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all your course information, offering a variety of tools and features including: 

  • Lecture notes/recordings
  • Discussion forums
  • Tests and quizzes
  • Course announcements
  • Additional information you may need to complete tasks
  • Which practical and tutorial groups you are in
  • Where you will have to submit work electronically

Access Learn

You can login to Learn from practically anywhere and are not restricted to being physically on campus. You can access Learn from MyEd or login at the Learn website.

Download the blackboard app to access Learn and your courses via your mobile device.

 Collaborate is a virtual classroom and meeting tool used by staff and students for:

  • one-to-one meetings;
  • tutorials;
  • student discussions;
  • informal chats;
  • or as part of Learn group work.

Collaborate is integrated into Learn and students can also create and access Collaborate sessions through MyEd.
