Advance HE is a member-led charity that works to improve Higher Educations and offers internationally recognised, portable teaching qualifications. The University's Academic Development supports the professional and academic development of staff and students at the University of Edinburgh.

There are four categories suitable for different roles associated with student learning and appropriate to your teaching involvement:

  • Associate Fellow (AF)
  • Fellow (F)
  • Senior Fellow (SF)
  • Principal Fellow (PF)

School SoTL support

The School of Biological Sciences encourages engagement with gaining teaching accreditation and workload time will be allocated for this. The School SoTL Committee provides support and guidance at all stages of this process. This is accessed through the School SoTL Community.
