The School's strategic plan to build a ‘New Darwin’ includes the re-development of our estate and infrastructure, providing the best spaces and facilities for collaborative science to flourish. Image Darwin building, September 2022 Our strategic project ‘New Darwin’ is an ambitious plan to grow our research and teaching capacity, quality, and outputs to support intellectual discovery and generate health, social and economic benefits. This is a multi-phase and multicomponent project involving several new buildings and changes to adjacent spaces, to provide extended and up-to-date accommodation for the School. Project updates The 'New Darwin' Project has recently relaunched, following delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Work is currently underway to redevelop the project to ensure it is still able to deliver on the School's strategic needs within updated financial constraints. The updated project is due to be re-launched in 2023 and we will provide updates as they arrive. Related links King's Buildings campus development This article was published on 2024-06-17
