The new Nucleus building is at the heart of the King’s Buildings campus.

The Nucleus Building is now open and will be fully operational by January 2023.

Directly connected to the Murray Library and the Students’ Association’s King's Buildings House, the Nucleus provides dynamic links between facilities and faculties.

Facilities and spaces

The building will enhance the student experience in an integrated environment, with innovative facilities for research and a variety of spaces for teaching, learning, and socialising. The Nucleus includes:

  • Teaching spaces
  • Lecture theatres
  • Student study spaces
  • Café
  • Students’ Association shop
  • Group study rooms
  • External area for events
