Five DRP-HCB Technology Cores, provide state-of-the-art instrumentation, technical expertise and training. With extensive expertise in technologies including Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Cryo- EM/ET, Imaging, Protein Production and HTP-Cell Biology the Technology Cores are key to the DRP-HCB. Our technologists source and maintain state-of-the-art equipment, developing new techniques, and creating bespoke tools for data processing, storage and presentation for downstream analysis, publication and re-use. They also provide training in experimental techniques, data collection and analysis, through courses, summer schools and one-to-one ad hoc support. The DRP-HCB cores also benefit from close links with UoE expert technologists in metabolomics, single cell sequencing and genomics. Including the Edinburgh Genome Foundry (EGF), Edinburgh protein production facility (EPPF) and the Single Cell Sequencing Facility. Bioinformatics Core Bioinformatics analysis, compute infrastructure and training. Data Integration Core Linking DRP-HCB technologies with each other and with researchers. Light Microscopy Core Advanced imaging technologies and analysis. Microfluidics Microfluidic Technologies will be available in 2025 through the Light Microscopy Core. Proteomics Core Mass spectrometry for proteome discovery and structural analysis. Structural Biology Core Technologies and support for all aspects of structural biology This article was published on 2024-06-17
