On February 5th and 6th, Scotland’s Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre celebrated it’s 6th Annual general Conference in Glasgow with over 500 delegates. Image Rennos Fragkoudis, Edinburgh Genome Foundry Manager, at IBioIC 2020 Members of SynthSys and the UK Centre for Mammalian Synthetic Biology were present in force, staffing an exhibit stand (with Edinburgh Innovations), chairing an Engineering Biology session, and delivering presentations and posters. Edinburgh’s Genome Foundry Manager found himself the focus of a vox pop on what he was hoping to get from the meeting. View video Over the two-day event, there were some enlightening plenary sessions, and new session tracks including Fashion and the Circular Economy. There was a diverse Fringe programme including topics such as design of Experiments and AquaBiotech.
