Third-year EASTBIO student Samuel Gibbon (Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences, University of Edinburgh/CMVM) has started a company called Pallor Metrics, based on his PhD work on "Using the eye to unlock changes in the health of the aging brain: A state of the art data analysis approach".

Following this he has been accepted onto the Data Driven Entrepreneurship Venture Builder Incubator (DDE-VBI) programme. This is a 5-month programme that involves close collaboration with industry professionals generating structured interactions underpinning the consolidation of the company's goals.
