From Biochemistry to Plant Sciences our programmes span the breadth of Biological Sciences. The School of Biological Sciences, part of the University's College of Science and Engineering, has one of the largest concentrations of biologists in the United Kingdom, with a wide range of disciplines and around 200 new undergraduates enrolled each year. Our teaching is based upon our phenomenal research strengths, meaning you are taught by scientists of international repute. This leads to some great opportunities for you to gain new knowledge and skills from teaching in class as well as through self-driven learning such as projects, practicals and field work. These skills equip you to go on and thrive in whatever you choose to do after University. What can I study at the University of Edinburgh?
