Training

Our team and partners develop, maintain, and deliver high quality bioinformatics training courses on our campus and online

To enable researchers to analyse their next generation sequencing data themselves, we offer a range of hands-on bioinformatics workshops.

It contains core bioinformatics workshops, like “Linux for Genomics” and “Introduction to Python for Biologists”, as well as applied genomics workshops, like “Introduction to RNA-seq Data Analysis” and “Oxford Nanopore MinION Sequencing - Data Handling,  Analysis and Applications”.

Workshops are given in our in-house training suite, in training suites on the King’s Buildings campus, or fully online.

Instructors include staff from Edinburgh Genomics and as well as external experts, led by our Training Manager, Nathan Medd.

Our training programme has recently been recognised as a nationally-important training resource by ELIXIR-UK
