The Darwin Trust PhD studentship held at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, the Milstein Studentship, is named after Cesar Milstein whose research on antibodies lead to the development of monoclonal antibodies as therapeutic agents. He was a close friend and colleague of Ken Murray the founder of the Darwin Trust.
