We study microbial population dynamics and evolution, using a combination of mathematical modelling, lab experiments, and statistical inference.

We are based in the Institute of Ecology and Evolution and actively collaborate with other groups across the University of Edinburgh, including within the Edinburgh Infectious Diseases network.

Our research is (or has been) funded by the Royal Society, the Wellcome Trust - University of Edinburgh Institutional Strategic Support Fund, and individual PhD scholarships.
