Macromolecular Machines on Genes

The central theme of our work is understanding how proteins capture, cut, paste, remodel or repair DNA. We are studying the molecular mechanisms of DNA repair and DNA transposition. We combine biochemical experiments with integrated structural biology tools, including X-ray Crystallography, Small Angle Scattering, NMR and Fluorescence Spectroscopy.

Three protein structures - explained in caption.
Three structures: a DNA repair protein TDP1 bound to DNA, Mos1 transposase paired-end complex with DNA, and a structure of a MIF protein.
