Julija Sabulyte is an IBioIC-fuded PhD student focused on developing biosensor technologies for the detection of off-note flavour compounds in Scotch Whisky. Her project is a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and the Scotch Whisky Research Institute. In her work, Julija combines cell-free transcription-only and enzymatic biosensor approaches to create tools with potential applications in Scotch Whisky quality control. In her spare time, Julija enjoys bouldering, playing spikeball and hiking.
Julija Sabulyte is a Ph.D. student in the Chris French laboratory. Her project is based on development of biosensors for detecting off notes in Scotch Whisky.
