As an Earth Fellow with the Horsfall group, I am researching the social dimensions of engineering biology, specifically the potential and acceptability for synthetic biology tools for environmental sustainability in the UK, and how engineering biology researchers understand their work within infrastructures of waste. Otherwise I am working on my PhD in environmental/medical anthropology, researching the management of infectious diseases and microbes more widely within Scottish conservation settings.
