Researching Sustainable Biotechnology

The Horsfall Group is interested in multidisciplinary challenges involving Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology.

We are especially interested in how these areas might make manufacturing more resource efficient and help move us towards a more sustainable, circular economy. We are affiliated to the Institute of Quantitative Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, the Centre for Engineering Biology, and the Centre for Science at Extreme Conditions - CSEC, at the University of Edinburgh.
