Janice is the group lab manager. Image Education and Short BiographyPhD (2014) and MSc (Distinction) from Edinburgh University. Manages laboratory business. As a long-standing employee of the University of Edinburgh I am tremendously excited to be joining the Parasite Immunoepidemiology Group as their lab manager.Previously I have studied parasite immune evasion strategies, focussing on how parasite excretory-secretory products influence the host immune response. It is widely acknowledged that the production of immune mediating molecules by parasites may be a key means by which they tailor surroundings to facilitate their prolonged survival. I look forward to applying my knowledge gained whist studying H.polygyrus and Brugia malayi to the realm of schistosomiasis infection.PublicationsMaizels RM, Gomez-Escobar N, Prieto-Lafuente L, Murray J, Aebischer T.
